About Me
My journey to social work began when I started working in long-term care, a field I worked in for several years. Knowing that you can make a difference in people’s lives through simple acts of service, patience, and giving.
After earning my Master of Social Work degree, I began my career working at Massachusetts General Hospital. In that capacity I was able to work with patients and families who were dealing with acute/sudden as well as chronic conditions, events that dramatically changed their lives and the lives of those around them. My focus continued in the area of medical social work where I went on to develop a dementia care program at a skilled nursing facility, and then on to a chronic pain care center where I developed group and individual therapy programs. My journey then brought me to community mental health where I worked with clients who experienced a range of mental health conditions.
Each step in my career has brought valuable experiences that I integrate into my practice. Today I take the skills from a career across different environments to help individuals find a better place through new ways of thinking and being.
I use a number of different therapeutic approaches, which I tailor to meet your specific needs. While people might be dealing with common conditions, they don’t experience them in the same ways. We each have our own life experiences, trajectories, and circumstances. I work with clients to craft an approach that will work uniquely for them.
Rather than stick with one approach, I draw from a variety of approaches to meet the needs of my clients. In this way, we can work together to crafting a path forward to a better future, one that you can and deserve to live.
